黃小楨，這個既陌生又熟悉的名字。
1998年在友善的狗旗下發行首張專輯《賞味期限》，歌曲〈complain抱怨〉為當年黑松汽水廣告曲，後受到肯定入圍第十屆金曲獎最佳新人獎。2001年推出第二張專輯《黃小楨2》一樣叫好不叫座，而後此人便像消失了似的，直到近幾年才有較為活躍的公開活動。
黃小楨有著豐富的創作才華，加上從小到美國唸書的背景，不少歌曲皆為英文創作。或許她缺乏美麗的包裝，以及迷倒眾人的公認漂亮臉蛋，不過小編相信，淺白的歌詞才是通往人心的捷徑，創作的用心與實力才是藝人得否長存於樂壇的防腐劑！(語氣激昂)
