依舊美麗的南方之聲

來自英國1989年成立的團體，其兩位核心團員Paul Heaton 與 David Hemmingway 在解散名為Housemartins的團後，加入了吉他手Dave Rotheray、貝斯手Sean Welch與鼓手Dave Stead重組而成The Beautiful South，風格也從原先中產階級式的嚴厲批判，改以優美順口的旋律來行冷嘲熱諷之實。

然而最為人津津樂道的便是團中的兩位女主唱，先行入團的Brianna Corrigan有著清新脫俗的聲音，與Corrigan離團後加入較為溫婉聲線的Jacqueline Abbott，兩位女主唱讓The Beautiful South的聲勢達到高峰。而歌詞中描述家人朋友、社會現象及關乎愛情、友情、生活的碰撞與感觸，搭配上適合哼唱的旋律，其所嘲諷的盡是生活日常中的擾雜情緒與絮叨瑣事。
